Contemporary Embroidery Workshops:
Embroidery artist Jessica Grady is running a variety of colourful and creative classes at Clements Hall, showing you how to create your own original textile art using a combination of hand embroidery and handmade embellishments. Classes include all materials and refreshments – all you need to bring along is yourself and a willingness to be creative! No prior embroidery experience is necessary.

 8 Sep, 10 – 4pm: Exploring Colour and Pattern - contemporary embellishment
(Meeting Room) Build pattern and incorporate colour into textile art; create a series of mini samples demonstrating the different techniques to create a textile sketchbook of fabric samples to take away with you. £60

 3 Nov, 10 – 4pm: Sketchbooks - stitch - textile art creation
(Art Room) Explore and experiment with colour, pattern and texture. Build up a selection of patterns and designs which will inspire your embroidery later in the workshop. £60

 8 Dec, 10 – 4pm: Embellished Mandalas - Christmas special
(Meeting Room) Create a beautiful Christmas gift using contemporary and colourful mixed media embroidery and embellishment techniques. Techniques will include metallic fabric sequins, painted metal washers and hand dyed DIY materials. £60
