Volunteering is a great way of meeting people, getting to know your neighbours and others in the area, learning new skills – and even putting into practice your own hidden talents and ambitions.
Below are some of the volunteer roles we have at the hall. If you would like to offer your help then complete the form below, email or phone us. If you have any other suggestions then please do get in touch!
Greet, Eat and Meet Community Cafe:
GEM is a lunchtime session that takes place every Wednesday, with the goal of providing people over 50 with an opportunity to socialise with others from the local community. We are looking to add to our existing team of dedicated volunteers and there is a huge variety of roles available, including: meeting and greeting participants, helping set up and pack away the hall, preparing and serving food, facilitating activities during lunch time sessions, and supporting participants to attend. If you are available 11:30-3pm on Wednesday regularly or irregularly and are interested in getting involved, we would love to hear from you.
Could you help serve refreshments at events? Would you like to help run the bar on cinema nights?
As an old building the hall requires ongoing maintenance. Are you a dab hand at painting and decorating? Or a fantastic gardener? We need people who could help us care for the building.
Maintaining the building and putting on activities costs money! Clements Hall Trust aims to establish itself on a secure financial basis and build up its reserves to develop more activities and to prepare for that rainy day! Could you help with any fundraising activities? Do you have a flair for funding bids? Do you have a great idea to help build up membership numbers? Or would you simply like to help out at fundraising events?
